VIDEO: Harvest Prep
Taking the time to make sure the multitude of supplies are ready to go before harvest begins is one of the ways researchers Shannon King and Cheyenne Becker ensure field season success for the Roots in Drought team. It can take up to one month each winter to prep the supplies needed for the upcoming field season. Accurately writing labels and putting them on the supplies is one of the most time-consuming portions of the prep, but is one of the best ways to ensure organization on harvest day. It’s this thoughtful preparation that has been one of the keys to success for the field seasons that have taken place as part of the Roots in Drought grant.
